In the Central African Republic, the civil war has ended up destabilizing a country with an already fragile balance. The wealth of the underground does not trickle down into the demanding daily lives of the inhabitants. Cities are almost cut off from the world, like that of Ngoto. The road leading there is impassable, ambulances no longer pass, so medical evacuations are done by motorbike. An ordeal for the sick. A race against time or rather a race against death. During the last civil war, many taxis and buses were destroyed or stolen. Vehicles are lacking, so some bush taxis use livestock trucks. The journey is hellish for the passengers, but everyone maintains their good humor even when it comes to spending a night under the stars. Director: Guillaume LHOTELLIER
The Central African Republic (CAR) has been mired in chaos since its independence in 1960, plagued by coups, civil war, and weak governance. Fourteen rebel groups control most of the country, with public services nearly nonexistent. While locals face dire conditions, foreign powers like Russia exploit CAR's instability, vying for influence through military and political interventions. Once involved, France's retreat has left many citizens feeling abandoned amid ongoing violence and exploitation.
After the devastating attack on Pearl Harbor, the US Navy shifted their focus to regaining control of the Pacific. In 1942, they emerged victorious in the Coral Sea and Midway battles against the Japanese. Meanwhile, the German airforce continued their bombing campaign on UK cities in the Baedeker Raids.
Forty years after the end of the conflict, unexploded bombs, secret tunnels and other vestiges of the long combat still exist in Vietnam. Directors: Guilain Depardieu, Timothée Janssen
00:00 There are two worlds in Bolivia. That of the Altiplano, the highlands, perched at an altitude of more than 4000 meters. And that of the Amazon basin, which tops out at a few hundred meters above sea level. Between the two, there is a transition region, made of vertiginous precipices and trails that descend the Andean Cordillera in a few tens of kilometers. . It is the region of the Yungas, a country where the horizontal does not exist. In these valleys winds a road, the only means of communication between La Paz, the administrative capital of the country, perched on the Altiplano, and the riches of the Amazon basin. The Bolivians nicknamed it "el camino de la muerte", the road to death. Highest point: the La Cumbre pass, 4700 meters, at the exit of La Paz. 78 kilometers further, we are barely 900 meters. Along this road of the impossible, we follow the story of a community of cocaleros, coca growers clinging to the slopes of the mountain. To carry their loads to the road, they stretched makeshift cables made of simple iron wires across the valley. An infernal zip line, nearly 400 meters long, 200 meters above the ground. We also share the daily life of a vachero, a truck driver who transports cows from the Amazon basin to La Paz, the highest metropolis in the world. 25 hours of journey on the road to death, done without stopping. Because you have to go very quickly: if a cow dies, the driver pays. 4:30 Villagers found an outstanding way to travel faster 9:00 Sky cables synonym of death 20:24 A 1000000 km truck that could break at any time 32:09 One slip on the 3m beam and it's a 500m Drop 43:19 Coca, ingredient in strong medicin getting sold in daylight

In Siberia they call it the « highway of life »… and also the « highway of hell ». This is the M56, a 1200 km road route that crosses this region in the far Eastern part of the Russian Federation. The M56 is an indispensable link for the people of the North of Siberia. Summer and winter long, thousands of trucks and hundreds of cars take this road to ensure supplies of food, drink and materials. But this road to the other end of the world is also a real nightmare. First, because of its history: it was built between 1925 and 1964 by prisoners, "enemies of Communism" sent to the gulags, who never returned. And today is still strikes fear. Driving conditions are particularly harsh. Here there’s no tarmac covering the surface, only thousands of rocks, far too big to drive on. There’s no car tyre that can resist them! Dust, mud, vibrations, blizzards that can “overturn a truck” : when you take this road, you suffer! We accompany 3 truck drivers, among them, Igor, 42. He has three days ahead of him before he reaches Yakutsk, one of the most remote cities in Russia. He has to delivery his load of beer at all costs! Aboard his truck we discover the M56. The truck drivers who supply the lost cities of the Himalayas play the tightrope walkers on passes at 4000 meters altitude; they graze parishes and precipices flat out on roads barely wider than their engines. Directors: Frédéric Elhorga, Antonin Marcel
We embark on a journey to the distant and remote region of Patagonia, known for its scarce population and stunning beauty. At the southernmost tip of South America, we discover the fragile yet awe-inspiring landscapes of Southern Chile. Our first encounter is with Carlos Barria, a seaman and cattleman who resides in one of the most southerly locations on Earth. His ranch is situated near the legendary Cape Horn, offering a glimpse into a world far removed from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Next, we meet Philippe Reuter, an enthusiastic mountaineer who calls the base of the Andes' immense glaciers home. With a passion for exploration, he invites us to witness the breathtaking vistas and natural wonders that only the Patagonian wilderness can provide. Lastly, we encounter Jorge Arratia, a guide with a deep understanding of the balseros, the skilled raftsmen of Patagonia. In a remote valley, we witness the hard work of lumberjacks as they harvest cypress wood and transport it down the Rio Baker to the sea, where it is used to build homes and structures throughout the region.
