The Citarum River in Indonesia, once a vital resource for millions, has become one of the most polluted rivers in the world. Industrial waste from over 500 textile factories has turned its waters into a toxic mix of chemicals, endangering the health of local communities and ecosystems. Families suffer from diseases linked to contaminated water, while fish and crops dwindle. Investigations reveal alarming levels of pollutants in rice, water, and even children's hair.
