Ancient Earth: The Dawn of Mammals

Paleontology is currently experiencing a golden age: in the last ten years, more fossil species have been unearthed than since the origins of this science two centuries ago.
Thanks to new technologies, at the crossroads of genetics, ethology, geology and even particle physics, paleontologists can today redraw the tree of life and its branches erased by time. They shatter certain myths that persisted until the end of the 20th century, and can answer three essential questions:

where do insects come from?
where do the birds come from?
where do mammals come from?
